(You'll see a lot of that ...Dootsie, COME ON!!! (You'll see a lot of that tomorrow!)

Talking of Nando, just seen him against Kolya...the match was weird. Kolya took the first 2 sets with ease, then let Nando play for 2 sets, then seemed to let the Spaniard think that the momentum was with him for the first half of the 5th (with a few breakpoints n all). Then came a freak break

Another thing about that match, I was watching a streaming of Eurosport, with Simon Reed and Jo Durie commentating. OK, Davy's forehand was going a bit wonky, but Durie was talking such bolshevik!!! She couldn't understand how he held serve early on the set, stuff like "his serve's just managing to keep him in the set!"...erm, it's called having a weapon, digging deep, winning ugly - whatever you want to call it. She was a c-rap tennis player and an even worse commentator!
(You can tell I'm back, can't you!)

Then came this freak break at 3-2 to make it 4-2, where a breakpoint just creeps up on you and the receiver capitalises on it...then he just held serve.

Mind you, I, too, thought that Nando was back from exactly this point last year. Strong groundies off both wings, good serving, tho the 5th lacked net play, apart from Davydenko! The guy came to the net 4 times on of his service games and won 3 of those points!! I could not (and still can't) relate to that!!

I thought maybe Nando turns up just for the AO, but he choked again here today, I feel.2Handerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05694468226012362282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8948801468516043822.post-26691265770594968442010-01-24T22:39:20.262+00:002010-01-24T22:39:20.262+00:00So little love for Wickmayer?

Saw a bit of her at Melbourne Park this week, she'll be in the top 10 by Roland Garros.

I saw a bit of Verdasco this week and last week at Kooyong. He's playing MUCH better tennis than he was late last year. Something about the climate and surface here puts a sprint in his step. Think it's gonna closer than expected.

Urgh, don't mention Fed v Hewitt. Am going up against a stadium of patriotic Aussie supporters tonight and it's Australia Day tomorrow. Want to remain alive.dootsiezhttp://allineedisapicketfence.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
